A nice show of Autumn colours around The Mine Pool

Fly fishing this pool is going to test the roll casting abilities of the angler.As you can see the river is narrowing ,and if you are lucky enough to connect with a fish landing it will be a different matter. Access from either bank is not easy especially in high water. Access downstream is nearly impossible because of the steep sides of the fenced off old mine workings.

If spinning from the far bank then access is easier by parking in the top end of Pentre Du by the Oakfield Guest House and following the footpath upstream.
